"owl"

I just noticed this photo in my files. I forgot to post it last week. It's a nut (hickory?) pretending to be an owl. Seen in the grass at Bailly Homestead.

Also, this most recent weekend we visited the East Chicago century plant once again. It's grown--at least a foot--but still no sign of it blooming. It's become our weekly pilgrimage.
